Dublin - Day 2

A day of sleep recovery. And then off to buy some shoes and a shirt for the "Around the College in 80 Drinks!" the professors were hosting. (Remember I only came with the hiking boots on my feet and an extra tshirt.) This resulted in a bit of Euro sticker shock. Ireland is expensive, plus the weak dollar makes it even worse. You end up paying about double what you would back home. Uli picked out some great ginger cookies dipped in dark chocolate and a few other treats, and I whipped up a hot cider (or, as
they call it here, cloudy apple juice) and dark rum potion spiced with cinnamon, cloves, pepper corns, and
orange peels for the second stop of the party. There were ten stops in total, each with its own drink and menu. I was very happy to see a weber grill in action, complete with water pans, at the South African stop. Much drinking, eating, and dancing followed, but we only made it to 9 of the 10 stops. I did get a taste of some 30 year old scotch before calling it quits, so I am declaring it a complete success.
