After doing some work on the front yard (mostly done by BJ), my basement has stayed dry after it rains. So I was a bit confused when I heard dripping sounds down there yesterday. After some hunting I found a huge wet area on the basement ceiling, right under the living room. It turns out the radiator bleeder valve was dripping. Slowly enough to not create a puddle in the living room, instead it was all absorbing into the floor and dripping into the basement.
After shutting off the water supply to the heating system, I discovered the shut-off valve does not shut-off completely.
So I'll be in the basement for a while draining and changing valves.
Hopefully my next destination will be a bit more adventurous.
